Join a pair of Ottawa’s finest folk acts at Greenslades, as they team up to celebrate Sal’s new album “Forthcoming & Clean”.
Sal is a Pakistani-Canadian artist blending contemporary sounds with the deep roots of traditional folk, pushing the genre into a new era. Known for rich storytelling and poignant lyrics that draw from personal experiences and sharp observations of life’s complexities. Whimsy runs as a recurring thread throughout the music, subtly weaving together lightness and melancholy.
C.A. & Sonny are an Ottawa-based duo focused on preserving the tradition of Folk music. Using a variety of stringed instruments, they sing songs, crack jokes, and tell tales of yesteryear. Bobby Dove is a Montreal born singer-songwriter and a magnetic presence in the world of Country and Americana music. Touring extensively throughout Canada, the U.S. and Europe,Bobby has shared the stage with luminaries such as Fats Kaplin (John Prine), Mary Gauthier, Richard Thompson, Ray Benson (Asleep at the Wheel), and Lavender Country.
Currently based in rural Manitoba, Bobby Dove is preparing to release their upcoming full-length album “Fortune Teller” on April 24th 2026. Produced by Aaron Goldstein (Cowboy Junkies/Kathleen Edwards/City and Colour), the new record features 13 tracks, including a cowrite/duet with Grammy winning singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale.
Opening the show is local singer/songwriter Tess Poirier, whose heartfelt writing and potent voice make for a perfect pairing with Bobby Dove.
Built in 1877 by the Dixon family, this house served as their home for three generations. It has only changed hands twice since and is now home to Andrew Ennals, who returned home to Sackville starting in 2018 with the goal of restoring and opening the house for guests and events.
